Based at Faceby Village Hall, North Yorkshire
The weekend includes step by step instruction and one to one guidance.
Day one, creating picture in Oils and painting process
Day two, creating a picture using an acrylic underpainting
Cost £86 for weekend, £60 for one day
Price includes a two course lunch each day
If you require accommodation, The Sutton Arms Hotel in Faceby, a short walking distance from the Hall.
Materials to bring
A good set of Basic oil paints, (please avoid cheap sets from The Works or Aldi etc.) Good sets from Winsor and Newton and Daler Rowny
Plus a large tube of Titanium white,
A small bottle of low odour thinners,
A small pallette
2 canvasses, roughly 20 x 16 ins
set of brushes, ie system 3, round and flat brushes. (fine for acrylics and oils)
A good set of basic acrylics, again avoid cheaper sets)
Plus a larger tube of white
Stay wet plalette (bought or home made with a low Tupperware type of box with a sponge base and greaseproof paper top.) Stay wet pallette keep the paint moist for days.

Masking tape
Old ceramic plate for mixing
Table cloth.
Small note book

Faceby Villge Hall is stuated in the village of Faceby, leave the A172 signposted Faceby, on entering the village, turn left at the Sutton Arms Inn, the village hall is about 150 yards on your left.
