Pastel painting Weekend at Faceby Village Hall, North Yorkshire

November - Saturday and Sunday 11/12, 2017 

Enjoy the Versatility of pastel,  during the weekend we will look at different applications, materials, composition and colour. Daily demonstrations and one to one tuition and guidance.

Day one -Pastel techniques

Day 2 - further development

Course fee £86, includes 2 course lunch on both days,  Vegaratian and Gulten free can be catered for. Tea and coffee provided. 

One day course £60, deposit £25

10-4pm each day

Faceby Hall, is a well equipped village hall. set within beautiful scenery, ample free parking and ramp access.

Materials

Good quality pastels

A table or free standing easel, 

Cloth for table

Black permanent marker pens.

Drawing board, 5mm MDF roughly A3

Two Canvasses, roughly 20 x 16 ins or canvas boards, roughly the same size

table Cloth

Kitchen Towels

Baby wipes

Reference pictures will be supplied or if you prefer you can bring your own.

The Hall is situated near Stokesley and Great Ayton with ample B&Bs 

Examples of Menu for day one

Homemade quiche baked with a short crust pastry and filled with a savoury egg, custard, cheese, onion and ham and served warm. There will be a selection of delicious salads for you to help yourself to and if you can squeeze it in, you can top it off with a homemade cake. The carrot and orange cake has a lovely zingy orange cream cheese filling and is decorated with hand-moulded fondant carrots.

Day two

A summer salad of irresistibly fresh ingredients and tender marinated chicken, brought together with tangy fruity dressings.

And for the afters, a rich cool pasta homemade Belgium chocolate truffle cake, with glossy dark Belgium chocolate gnash pored over the top, served with Chantilly cream

If you have a special diet needs, please let me know in advance, so Julie has time to Russell up a delicious alternative for you.
